Today I've been really struck by just how easy it is to overcomplicate things. How many of us instantly reach for the smartphone and ask ChatGPT to find us all the parameters?

As an engineer, previously mechanical and now food, my go-to is technology. Give me a problem and I'm searching for the solution with computer modelling, 3D printing and mathematical equations.

More often than not, the answer is there all along and it's a lot simpler than I realised.

Take a step back, stop and smell the fresh air, and eat something sweet! The answer will find you.
